Today as I was walking around, I noticed a sign in the artists' section that said "Sean 'Cheeks' Galloway." I'm sure some of you have heard of him, he's an artist on dA! Cheeks-74, I believe. I'd put a link, but I don't know how to do that, as I'm computer illiterate. Anyway, he was really nice, and I got to sit at his booth for a bit as he drew a sketch for me! This goes up on the inspiration wall, eh? I also got a sketchbook from him. If you haven't checked out his gallery before, I suggest you go now, because he's a really talented fellow.
Anyway, I also found out from him that Paulfresh and Danimation were there. (Go look at their galleries, too.) They were both really nice. Besides these being the first deviant artists that I've met, they're actually the first people I've met that I knew of on the Internet before in real life. Cool, huh?
So I've blown over 200 dollars on stuff I didn't really need over these three days. But I love Wizard World so much that I set aside money for it. Now I've got about 40 dollars left, but it's alright. I believe I've purchased 47 comic books, as well as some prints, and about ten CDs. All game and anime soundtracks, of course, because I can't get them anywhere else. Being credit card-less makes it hard to get things. I also got the complete Hellsing series on DVD as well as Crest of Stars, and almost all of Escaflowne. I'm missing the first four episodes. It's sort of a bummer that I'm just missing those, but it's a lot better than nothing. I'm planning on taking a picture of all the crap I purchased at Wizard World, so I'll eventually put it up one day so you can see what my life is about.
That reminds me: it looks like I won't be putting up art frequently anymore. There has come a time in my life when a scanner will be inaccessible to me for long amounts of time. If I can get my hands on one soon, I'll put up a bunch of art. But for now, it looks as though the only art you'll be getting from me is going to be drawn using my tablet. I really need to work on my tablet abilities anyway, so maybe this is a good thing? Nah, I prefer sketching on paper. Plus, the only program that I have for art is MS paint. Guess I'll have to fix that, won't I? Download, here I come... Yeah, well, that about sums up all I have to say. Long journal entry, wasn't it? I've been trying to keep them short. I guess I'll see you later!
